Follow these steps to add your dependents to your social health authority profile today.
Step 1: Login to Your Account
- Go to the official SHA website.
- Click the ‘Login’ button.
- Select the ID Type e.g. Kenyan citizen, foreign citizen, refugee, mandate ID, or temporary ID.
- Enter your national ID number and password.
Note: Don’t have an account register today.
Step 2: Go to Dependant Section
Once you login to your profile.
- Click ‘My Profile.’
- Navigate to the Dependents section.
- Click ‘Add Dependant.’
- Select the relationship with your dependent e.g. biological child, spouse, adopted child, or child under LOCO parents.
- Click ‘Proceed’ to add the dependent’s information.
Step 3: Enter Dependant’s Details
A Child

- Choose the child’s age group either below or above 18 years.
- Enter the date of birth.
- Select if the child has a birth certificate or notification number. Input the birth certificate or notification number.
- Upload the birth certificate or birth notification either in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format.
- Enter the child’s surname, first name, and middle name, respectively.
- Upload the passport photo of the child.
- Choose the sex of the dependent.
- Select Yes or No if the dependent is disabled and if they conflict with the law.
- Click ‘Save,’ to finish the process of adding your child as a dependent on your SHA profile.

A Spouse

- Enter your spouse’s identification type and identification number.
- One time password or OTP will be sent to your spouse’s phone number.
- Enter the OTP and click ‘submit.’
