Two Students Die At Ramba Boys After Septic Tank Collapse

Ramba Boys High School in Asembo, Siaya County, is in mourning following the tragic deaths of two students who fell into a septic tank on the evening of Saturday, March 22, 2025. The two Form Four students, whose identities have not yet been officially released, lost their lives. This is after the structure collapsed around 6 p.m.
According to reports, the students were having supper when the septic tank structure caved in, trapping four of them inside. Two of the trapped students were successfully rescued and rushed to the hospital for treatment, but the other two were not as fortunate. Emergency responders from the police and Red Cross have since recovered the bodies of the victims.
The incident took place shortly after the students had returned from an AIDS awareness rally, an event aimed at educating the students about HIV prevention and safe practices.

“Another tragedy! Saddened to learn two young boys at Ramba Boys High School have lost their lives after a septic tank collapsed! May their young souls know peace, even as we continue investigating the circumstances,” Amollo said in his statement.
