Public frustration has now spread beyond social media. Across South Korea, several business owners have displayed signs reading, “Hong Myung-bo is banned from entering.”
Photos of the notices, posted outside convenience stores, restaurants, and other businesses, have gone viral online. Although largely symbolic, the campaign reflects the deep disappointment many supporters feel after the national team’s early exit.
Pressure Mounts on Korean Football
The backlash extends beyond Hong’s resignation. Many fans are demanding broader reforms within the Korea Football Association.
