VVIP Rooftop Dancer Reportedly Killed by The Club’s Bouncer 

An 18-year-old dancer, widely known for his viral dances in a blue jacket at VVIP Rooftop Lounge, has reportedly died following a brutal assault by the club’s security team on Sunday night.

Eyewitnesses and social media users claim the young man, celebrated for helping elevate the club’s online popularity, was severely beaten and abused by a bouncer believed to be in charge of security. According to circulating reports, the dancer was later locked in a room, where he allegedly succumbed to his injuries. Accusations have since emerged that police may be involved in covering up the incident.

In response to the backlash, VVIP Rooftop has turned off comments and set its TikTok account to private. Thus, further fueling public suspicion.

Adding to the controversy, recent videos surfaced showing comedian Eric Omondi and popular internet personality “fantom.mzungu.fresh,” the viral “white mzungu,” visiting VVIP Rooftop Lounge. These are weeks before the incident. The club had been basking in heightened publicity from such high-profile appearances. With both celebrities seen engaging with fans and posing for photos at the venue. Their visits had seemingly cemented the club’s growing status as a hotspot for influencers and trendsetters in Nairobi’s nightlife scene.

However, the tragic turn of events has cast a dark shadow over the club’s reputation. Thus, with many questioning whether the management prioritized fame over the safety and dignity of its own performers and patrons.
