Tom Daktari has unveiled a new black Jetour T2 SUV as the latest addition to his car collection.
The comedian shared a video of a pastor blessing his new black SUV, adding to a collection that includes a Nissan X-Trail bought in 2023.
Kenyan comedian and content creator Tom Daktari has unveiled a new black Jetour T2 SUV, sharing a video of the vehicle being blessed by a pastor as he marked his latest personal milestone.
Tom, whose real name is Andrew Wambua Mboya, posted the video for his followers on September 27. The pastor walked around the SUV while praying over it, after which the comedian briefly expressed his gratitude.
The acquisition adds to the vehicles Tom has occasionally shown on social media, where he has also shared updates about his home and his friendships within the entertainment industry.
Jetour T2 prices in Kenya
The Jetour T2 is one of the newer premium SUVs drawing attention in the Kenyan market. A retailer’s website lists 2026 models at approximately Sh7.8 million to Sh7.86 million locally.
Those figures provide a guide to the model’s current retail price, rather than confirmation of the amount Tom paid for his vehicle. The SUV features a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, four-wheel drive and an automatic transmission.
For the unveiling, Tom focused on the blessing ceremony and his appreciation for the purchase. The video gave followers a look at the black SUV while documenting a personal moment away from his comedy work.
A growing collection of personal milestones
The Jetour follows another vehicle purchase Tom shared in December 2023, when he acquired a new-shape Nissan X-Trail. That vehicle was reportedly valued at around Sh2.4 million at the time.
His social media updates have extended beyond cars. Between 2024 and 2025, the comedian revealed his multimillion-shilling home in stages, offering followers glimpses of the property rather than unveiling it all at once.
The new SUV is the latest addition to those public updates on his personal achievements. While Tom’s comedy remains central to his public profile, he has also used his platforms to document developments in his life outside entertainment.
Support for Sammy Kioko
Earlier in September, Tom supported fellow comedian Sammy Kioko at the launch of his bid for the Mavoko parliamentary seat in the 2027 General Election.
During the September 11 campaign launch, Tom contributed Sh210,000 and gifted Kioko a Prado. He explained that the cash contribution was a tribute to the first amount Kioko had sent him for fare when they were starting out.
That gesture highlighted a friendship dating back to their early days. With the Jetour unveiling, Tom has now shared another milestone of his own, this time centred on a new addition to his car collection.
