Nyaribo Launches UjiAfya and Digital Learning Programme

Amos Nyaribo has launched the UjiAfya Masomo Bora Programme officially. The county also unveiled a Digital Learning Programme simultaneously.

Additionally, the launch took place at Riomoro ECDE Centre. The facility is located in Kemera Ward, Nyamira County.

Therefore, the initiative aims to improve education and nutrition. Thousands of learners are expected to benefit directly.

Daily Fortified Porridge to Support Young Learners

The programme targets Early Childhood Development Education learners. More than 30,000 children will benefit countywide.

Additionally, the initiative covers all 408 ECDE centers. Every ward in Nyamira County is included.

The county will provide fortified porridge daily. PP1 and PP2 learners remain the primary beneficiaries.

Therefore, officials expect improved classroom attendance immediately. The programme also aims to increase school enrollment.

Additionally, leaders hope to improve learners’ concentration levels. Nutrition remains critical for cognitive development and learning.

Digital Learning Programme Expands Technology Access

Nyamira County also expanded digital learning opportunities. Public nursery schools will now access computer training.

Additionally, the programme previously operated in 210 pilot centers. Authorities have now expanded coverage to all 408 centers.

Therefore, more children will gain digital literacy skills early. The county aims to prepare learners technologically.

The project operates through strategic partnerships. Kenya Industrial Research and Development Institute supports the initiative actively.

Additionally, the Rockefeller Foundation helped fund implementation. YEDO Institute also partnered in digital learning expansion.

Governor Launches New Hospital Ward in Kemera

Governor Nyaribo also launched healthcare projects during the tour. He commissioned a new ward at Kiangoso Level 3 Hospital.

Additionally, the ward has a 16-bed capacity. The hospital can now admit more patients locally.

Therefore, healthcare access may improve significantly for residents. Officials expect reduced pressure on nearby facilities.amos

Farmers Receive Coffee Seedlings and Agricultural Support

The governor also prioritized agricultural development initiatives. Farmers received 20,000 free coffee seedlings during the event.

Additionally, distribution happened at Kemera Cooperative Society. The county targets 600,000 seedlings eventually.

The programme operates alongside New Kenya Planters Cooperative Union. Authorities aim to boost coffee production locally.

Additionally, county tractors were dispatched for mechanized farming. The move seeks to improve agricultural productivity further.

Road Construction Project Boosts Local Infrastructure

Infrastructure development also featured during the visit prominently. The county launched upgrades on the Omogonchoro-Nyachichi-Kiendege Road.

Additionally, the road stretches approximately three kilometers. Contractors will undertake murram grading works immediately.

Therefore, residents expect improved transport and accessibility. Local businesses may also benefit economically.

Nyamira Expands Education and Community Development
