KJSEA Results: How Grade 9 Students Can Easily Check Their Exam Results via SMS

Grade Nine learners who sat for the 2025 Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) can now access their results through SMS. The Ministry of Education issued the directive on Thursday, December 4.

How to Access the KJSEA Results

Teachers, parents, and learners can check the results by sending the learner’s assessment number to 22263. Each SMS costs Ksh30.
Moreover, the system instantly provides full results, including the learner’s selected schools based on their career pathways.
A notice from Kenya’s leading telecommunications provider confirmed the process and emphasized the SMS cost.

Exams Tested Readiness for Senior Secondary Transition

The KJSEA exams ran between October 27 and November 3, 2025.
Furthermore, the assessment aimed to determine each learner’s readiness for senior secondary school.

Ministry Reaffirms Early December Release Timeline

Two weeks earlier, PS Julius Bitok assured the public that results would be released in early December.
He also stated on November 17 that the results would be out before or by December 11.
Additionally, he noted that the Ministry was ready to support the transition of more than one million learners.

Placement Expected Within One Week

Although KNEC has not issued a formal release notice, placement is expected within one week of the results.
According to the Ministry, learners will receive placement letters before December 25.
They must also report to their new schools by January 12, 2026.

KNEC Warns Against Exam Result Fraudsters

Meanwhile, KNEC warned the public about fraudsters claiming they can alter exam results.
On December 3, the council reported cases involving individuals posing as insiders.
Consequently, KNEC urged the public to stay alert and report suspicious activities.
