75% Of Men Are More Loyal To Their Barbers Than Their Partners

A recent study conducted by LonLyf, a lifestyle research firm based in London, reveals that over 75% of men exhibit greater loyalty to their barbers than to the women they date.

The survey, which took place between September 2024 and January 2025, found that more than 60% of participants have remained with the same barber for a minimum of five years, with some even continuing to visit their childhood barbers for grooming services.

Some respondents reported traveling back to their former neighborhoods after relocating, solely to receive haircuts from their trusted barbers.

The findings indicate that for many men, the prospect of changing barbers is not merely inconvenient; it is genuinely distressing.

Approximately 45% of participants expressed reluctance to try new barbers due to their aversion to repeatedly explaining their preferred haircut styles. Additionally, 30% admitted to a lack of trust in anyone else handling their hair, fearing the negative outcomes of a poor haircut, as noted in the report.

Health considerations also significantly influence this loyalty, with around 25% of respondents expressing concerns about hygiene practices in unfamiliar barbershops, opting to avoid potential health risks. For these men, a reliable barber represents more than just a good haircut; it is integral to their overall well-being.

“While romantic relationships may come and go, it appears that the relationship between a man and his barber is sacred. The bond between a man and his barber is built on consistency, trust, and an unspoken understanding,” says the report.
