Oliver Tree Dies at 32 in Helicopter Collision in Rio de Janeiro
American singer, songwriter, and internet personality Oliver Tree has died at the age of 32. The artist was among six people killed in a helicopter collision in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
According to authorities, the crash occurred on Sunday, June 14, 2026. Investigators have launched an official inquiry into the cause of the tragedy.
Two Helicopters Collided Mid-Air
The collision happened around 9:00 a.m. local time. Officials said two helicopters collided over the Recreio dos Bandeirantes neighborhood.
One aircraft carried five people, including Tree. Meanwhile, the second helicopter carried only its pilot.
Following the collision, one helicopter crashed into a parking lot containing electric vehicles. Consequently, a large fire erupted and spread rapidly. Authorities reported that all six people aboard both aircraft died.

Victims Identified
Among those killed was Argentine YouTuber Gaspar Prim, widely known as Gaspi. Other victims included Lucas Vignale, Lucas Brito Chaves, and pilots Alexandre Souza and Charles Marsillac.
Brazilian authorities confirmed the identities as investigations continued.
