Rain to Intensify on Friday and Monday

KMD expects rainfall to affect several locations on Friday and Monday. However, only a few areas will receive showers on the remaining days.

In addition, residents should prepare for cold mornings and nights. Temperatures may drop to between 5°C and 6°C across the Central Highlands and parts of Nairobi.

Furthermore, strong south-easterly winds exceeding 25 knots (46 km/h) are expected along the Coast and in selected inland areas.

KMD Urges the Public to Take Precautions

Motorists should drive carefully during afternoon storms because heavy rain could reduce visibility and create slippery roads.

Residents should also wear warm clothing during the early mornings and evenings as temperatures continue to fall.

KMD has advised the public to stay updated with daily weather forecasts and take the necessary precautions while travelling or working outdoors throughout the five-day period.
