Majembe Puts Vurugu 1 Belt on the Line Against Shakib
Kenyan boxer Majembe has challenged Ugandan socialite Shakib Cham to a high-stakes boxing showdown. The challenge comes shortly after the successful Vurugu 2 celebrity boxing event in Nairobi. Comedian Oga Obinna organized the event at the Sarit Expo Centre.
During the competition, Shakib defeated Kenyan musician Arrow Bwoy by second-round technical knockout. However, the victory sparked fresh debate after Shakib complained about missing out on a winner’s championship belt.
Majembe Offers His Championship Belt
In response, Majembe released a video addressing Shakib directly. He offered his Vurugu 1 championship belt for a winner-takes-all contest.
According to Majembe, both fighters should risk their titles in the proposed bout. Consequently, the winner would walk away with both championship belts. He also confirmed his readiness to sign the fight contract immediately.
Majembe Questions Shakib’s Credentials
Furthermore, Majembe dismissed Shakib’s recent victory as insufficient proof of boxing supremacy. He argued that defeating a musician does not automatically make someone the best fighter.
Instead, he insisted that Shakib must face an experienced boxer to earn that recognition. Therefore, Majembe believes their proposed fight would settle the debate once and for all. His comments have already sparked excitement among boxing fans across Kenya and Uganda.

Fans Want the Fight Confirmed
Shakib’s acceptance has intensified calls for organizers to make the fight official. Supporters believe the contest would become one of the biggest celebrity boxing matches in the region.
Furthermore, the clash would pit Majembe’s Vurugu 1 title against Shakib’s growing reputation following his dominant victory over Arrow Bwoy.
Anticipation Continues to Build
Although promoters have not announced an official date, both fighters have now publicly shown interest in the matchup.
With Majembe offering his belt and Shakib responding, “Let’s make it happen,” fans are eagerly waiting for confirmation.
If finalized, the showdown could headline a future Vurugu event and deliver another thrilling chapter in East Africa’s growing celebrity boxing scene.
