The Bar Symphony Nairobi event

360 Immersive and Crispy Life will bring orchestral versions of familiar songs to The Alloy on Saturday, November 7.

The Bar Symphony will make its Kenyan debut on Saturday, November 7, at The Alloy, Sarit Centre, Nairobi. The event will pair live orchestral performances with the social atmosphere of a night out.

360 Immersive will present the event in collaboration with Crispy Life, reworking popular songs through orchestral arrangements. Rather than using a formal concert venue, the concept brings classical instrumentation into a contemporary entertainment space.

The Nairobi edition carries the theme ‘An Orchestral Experience Reimagined’. Organisers aim to attract listeners interested in hearing familiar music with a different sound.

Bar Symphony builds on Kampala edition

The founders of 360 Immersive said their first edition in Kampala, Uganda, encouraged them to take the experience to Nairobi. They described that opening event as a positive start and expressed excitement about the Kenyan debut.

The founders also said they developed the concept to change how audiences experience music in entertainment spaces. Familiar tracks often keep their usual sound and arrangements, so they wanted to challenge listeners’ expectations.

By rearranging those songs for orchestral performance, they hope to offer audiences a fresh way to enjoy music they already love. The approach keeps familiar songs at the centre while changing how musicians present them.

Meanwhile, the Nairobi programme will combine that musical approach with a social setting, rather than a conventional orchestral concert format.
