Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna will take the Linda Mwananchi Movement’s political mobilisation campaign to the United States from November 20 to December 4, 2026.
The planned tour will target Kenyans living in the diaspora as political activity increases ahead of the August 2027 General Election, the delegation will visit five locations during the two-week programme.
The engagements will give the movement an opportunity to connect with Kenyans abroad and discuss its political agenda.
Sifuna’s Five-Stop US Tour Schedule
The tour will begin in Allentown, Pennsylvania, before moving through the Washington metropolitan area and Texas.
The published itinerary lists the following stops:
- Allentown, Pennsylvania: November 20–22
- Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia (DMV): November 23–26
- Dallas, Texas: November 27–28
- Houston, Texas: November 29–30
- Seattle and California: December 1–4
The schedule identifies the locations and dates but does not provide specific venues or detailed programmes for each engagement.
Linda Mwananchi Targets Kenyan Diaspora
The US visit marks an expansion of Linda Mwananchi’s mobilisation beyond Kenya’s borders. Kenyans living abroad remain an important audience for political leaders seeking to explain their plans and engage communities outside the country. The tour is expected to provide a platform for discussions about governance, national development and diaspora participation.
The announcement also follows an earlier virtual engagement with Kenyans abroad, according to the information provided by the movement.
However, the published itinerary does not detail whether the upcoming meetings will include fundraising activities or specific discussions on diaspora voting.

Movement Continues Grassroots Mobilisation
The US tour comes as Linda Mwananchi expands its activities within Kenya. Sifuna announced the opening of the movement’s Nairobi headquarters on October 30. He also outlined plans to establish offices across all 47 counties by the end of November.
The movement has also continued county-level engagements. On October 31, Sifuna led activities in Kwale, where the programme included meetings with local aspirants and a rally at Ukunda Showground.
These activities form part of the movement’s wider effort to build its organisational structure ahead of the next general election.
Political Activity Builds Ahead of 2027
Sifuna’s planned US tour comes amid increased political mobilisation among Kenya’s opposition leaders. Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua also conducted a US tour between August and October 2026, meeting Kenyans living abroad.
As the 2027 election approaches, political groups are seeking to strengthen their networks, communicate their agendas and engage potential supporters at home and overseas.
Sifuna’s upcoming engagements will provide another opportunity for Linda Mwananchi to present its message to the Kenyan diaspora. The impact of the tour will depend on the meetings held and the support the movement builds during its US visit.
