Babu Owino Launches KSh 2M Nairobi Pool Tournament

Thousands of pool players now have a chance to showcase their skills in a countywide competition.

The Nairobi County Pool Championship, launched by Babu Owino, will officially close registration on June 30, 2026.

Consequently, interested participants have limited time to secure their spots.

The championship aims to identify talent, promote sports, and empower young people.

Additionally, organizers hope the event will provide positive opportunities for youth across Nairobi.

Tournament Kicks Off in July

The competition will begin on July 4, 2026. Initially, matches will start in Embakasi East before expanding across Nairobi County. Consequently, players from all constituencies will have an opportunity to compete.

The tournament will run for two months before culminating in a grand finale. Additionally, organizers have scheduled the final match for September 5, 2026.

The championship finale will take place at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).

Free Registration for All Participants

Organizers have made participation accessible to everyone. Therefore, players will not pay any registration fee. Additionally, the tournament welcomes both men and women.

The competition covers all 17 constituencies and 85 wards in Nairobi County. Consequently, organizers expect widespread participation from different communities. The open-entry format aims to encourage inclusivity and equal opportunities.
