Rigathi Warns PSV Operators Against Facilitating Goons to Disrupt His Public Events

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua cautioned PSV operators against allegedly facilitating goons to disrupt his public events.
Moreover, he accused leaders allied to President William Ruto’s administration of hiring vehicles to sabotage his rallies.

Allegations Against PSV Saccos
Gachagua claimed some PSV owners, especially in Thika, were unaware their vehicles were misused in covert schemes.
Additionally, he warned matatu owners not to complain if vehicles fail to return after aiding hired goons.

He revealed over 20 vehicles were allegedly used in Gatundu to attack his supporters during a recent rally.

Gatundu Incident and Police Involvement
Gachagua alleged goons attempted to attack him during a church service in Gatundu on Sunday.
Furthermore, he claimed residents bravely neutralised the attackers, despite alleged police protection for the hired groups.

He accused police of lobbing teargas inside the church filled with women, children, and congregants.
Consequently, he praised Gatundu residents for defending peace and protecting vulnerable groups from disruption.

Call for Boycott of PSV Saccos
Speaking at a public event, Gachagua urged Kenyans to boycott matatu saccos allegedly linked to hired goons.
Moreover, he insisted communities will resist state-sponsored militia and safeguard public gatherings from violence.

His remarks have sparked debate on political tensions and PSV operators’ role in Kenya’s grassroots politics.
