President Ruto Attacked with a Shoe During Fiery Rally in Migori

President William Ruto’s rally in Kehancha, Migori County, descended into chaos on Sunday 04/05/2025 after an unidentified individual hurled a shoe toward the Head of State while he was addressing the crowd. Ruto was attacked while speaking.

The incident occurred while President Ruto was delivering a speech as part of his multi-county development tour in the Nyanza region. Eyewitnesses say the projectile narrowly missed him, landing just short of the podium. In a swift and coordinated response, the President’s security detail shielded him and swiftly apprehended the suspect.

According to police reports, the man behind the disturbance was immediately arrested and whisked away from the scene. Authorities have yet to release his identity or motives, but they indicated that he is currently in custody and undergoing interrogation.
