Eliud’s Running World: A Global Marathon Tour to Inspire Change
Eliud Kipchoge has launched Eliud’s Running World, a global marathon tour and community initiative. The project aims to unite people worldwide through running and inspiration.
Over two to three years, Kipchoge plans to run marathons on all seven continents. The legendary Kenyan runner hopes to motivate the next generation of athletes.
Additionally, he wants to promote healthy lifestyles across different communities. Most importantly, the tour reinforces his powerful message: “No human is limited.”
Mission Behind the Global Tour
Kipchoge’s new mission shifts focus beyond record-breaking performances. Instead, the tour emphasizes values such as discipline, education, and community engagement. Furthermore, each marathon stop will promote physical activity and global unity.
Kipchoge also plans to interact directly with local running communities. Previously, many fans only watched him compete on television. Therefore, the tour allows him to connect personally with supporters worldwide.
At the same time, each race will raise funds for the Eliud Kipchoge Foundation. The foundation focuses mainly on education and environmental conservation.
Marathon Stops Across Seven Continents
The tour officially begins in May 2026 with an African marathon. Kipchoge will run the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon in South Africa.
This race marks the first stop of his seven-continent journey. Other destinations are currently under consideration across the world. Possible locations include Abu Dhabi in Asia and Perth in Australia.
Additionally, Europe may host a marathon along Portugal’s Algarve Coast. The tour may also reach Cartagena in South America and Miami in North America.
Finally, organizers propose Antarctica as the grand finale location. If completed, the tour will become one of the most unique running missions ever attempted.

Supporting Education Through the Foundation
Education remains a central pillar of the foundation’s mission. Kipchoge believes education provides equal opportunities for young people. Consequently, the foundation funds school infrastructure and learning resources. For example, it built the Eliud Kipchoge Library in Kapsisiywa village in 2022.
The long-term goal involves establishing libraries across all 47 Kenyan counties. Additionally, the foundation sponsors school fees for disadvantaged students. These initiatives ensure talented learners continue their education.
Promoting Environmental Sustainability
The foundation also champions environmental conservation projects. Kipchoge frequently highlights the link between forests and healthy breathing. Therefore, the foundation adopted 50.8 hectares of the Kaptagat Forest Reserve.
This initiative focuses on forest restoration and ecosystem protection. Furthermore, the public participates through the “1:59 Tree Planting Challenge.”
So far, supporters have helped plant over 250,000 seedlings. These efforts strengthen climate awareness and environmental protection worldwide.
A Global Movement Beyond Running
Ultimately, Eliud’s Running World represents more than athletic competition. The initiative combines sport, education, and environmental action. Moreover, it connects communities across continents through a shared passion for running.
Through this tour, Kipchoge hopes to inspire millions globally. Indeed, the journey proves that running can transform lives and communities.
