President William Ruto has awarded Gor Mahia FC a KSh 10 million cash bonus following their remarkable FKF Premier League success.
The President announced the reward during a celebratory luncheon at State House, Nairobi. Consequently, players, coaches, and club officials gathered to mark the club’s historic achievement.
The event honored Gor Mahia after securing a record-extending 22nd league title. Additionally, the celebration highlighted the team’s dominance in Kenyan football.
KSh 10 Million to Support CAF Campaign
The government will deposit the KSh 10 million directly into the club’s account. Consequently, the funds will support logistics and preparations for the upcoming CAF Champions League campaign.
Additionally, the financial boost aims to strengthen the club’s competitiveness on the continental stage.
President Ruto emphasized the importance of supporting teams representing Kenya internationally. Therefore, the reward serves both as recognition and strategic support.
Players and Coaches Receive Personal Bonuses
Beyond the team allocation, every player and technical bench member received a personal reward. Consequently, each member of the squad and coaching staff walked away with KSh 100,000.

The financial support extends beyond the State House package. Additionally, John Mbadi contributed KSh 3.2 million during earlier celebrations.
