Vindee Launches East Africa Streamers University
Kenyan content creator and streamer Vindee has officially announced the launch of his own initiative, the East Africa Streamers University, in direct response to his exclusion from the final Class of 2026 lineup for Kai Cenat’s highly publicised Streamer University. Specifically, he announced the venture via his TikTok page, addressing Kai Cenat directly and positioning the new initiative as a serious undertaking to support local talent.
The Rejection That Sparked the Response
The controversy began with mixed signals. Specifically, Vindee previously shared what appeared to be an acceptance email during a live broadcast with fellow creator Thicky Sandra.
Furthermore, American streaming star Kai Cenat later unveiled a final list of over 100 selected global creators that completely omitted Vindee’s name.
Additionally, reports from other applicants indicate that creators applying from outside the United States faced severe restrictions, particularly concerning travel visa readiness and independent financial sustainability.

The Warning to Kai Cenat
Vindee did not stay silent about his frustration. Specifically, he warned Kai Cenat against visiting East Africa, claiming the global star does not respect creators from the region.
What the East Africa Streamers University Offers
The new initiative is designed to fill a genuine gap. Specifically, the East Africa Streamers University will provide localised training, mentorship and resources tailored specifically to upcoming African content creators.
Furthermore, Vindee framed the launch as a direct response to the barriers East African creators face when trying to access global platforms and opportunities.
