Kenyan content creators Chebet Ronoh, Nungari Kiore and Ann Muli have impressed fans with a Halloween tribute to legendary music group P-Unit and rapper Collo.

The trio embraced the local music theme for Halloween 2026, recreating the artists’ distinctive style and bringing back memories of popular Kenyan music from the early 2010s.

Their creative costumes sparked reactions across social media, with fans praising the group’s originality and attention to detail.

Trio Recreates Iconic Kenyan Music Style

Ronoh, Nungari and Ann took inspiration from P-Unit, whose members include Frasha, Gabu and Buganya, alongside rapper Collo.

Rather than choosing conventional Halloween costumes, the creators drew from Kenya’s own entertainment history. They recreated the artists’ signature streetwear, oversized sunglasses and performance poses.

Their coordinated appearance also reflected the energy of classic Kenyan music videos. In addition, the trio playfully recreated the roles of performers and backup dancers, adding humour to the tribute. The concept appealed to fans familiar with the music that dominated Kenyan clubs and radio stations during the era.

Awinja and Simply Kalala Praise the Creativity

The costumes attracted positive reactions from social media users and entertainment personalities. Actress Awinja reportedly described the look as “Top tier coolness.” Radio presenter Simply Kalala also praised the creators, writing, “I swear, you all are so creative, I thank God you found my FYP.”

Other viewers highlighted the group’s decision to recreate both the main artists and the dancers from classic music videos. The reactions showed how familiar Kenyan music can inspire fresh ideas for online content and themed celebrations.

Kenyan Pop Culture Inspires Halloween Costumes

The tribute also highlights how local entertainment can inspire Halloween creativity. Although many Halloween costumes draw from international films, horror characters and global pop culture, Kenyan artists offer another source of inspiration.

P-Unit and Collo helped shape a memorable period in Kenyan popular music. Their songs and performances remain familiar to many fans who grew up listening to local urban music.

By recreating the artists’ looks, Ronoh, Nungari and Ann connected Halloween fashion with Kenya’s musical heritage.

Their tribute demonstrates how creators can celebrate local pop culture while entertaining audiences with imaginative costumes.

As Halloween celebrations continue to evolve in Nairobi, Kenyan-themed concepts offer another way for partygoers and content creators to express their creativity.
