Police in Eldoret have arrested a suspect linked to a series of violent robberies in Munyaka, following intelligence and information supplied by members of the public.
The suspect was apprehended in the Roadblock area on Friday, September 25, 2026. Officers recovered a suspected stolen laptop, three mobile phones and an assortment of crude weapons during the arrest.
The National Police Service (NPS) said officers from Kapsoya Police Station acted on the information to identify and arrest the suspect. He was subsequently taken to the station, where he is being held pending arraignment.
Police investigate suspected B13 links
Police believe the suspect is affiliated with Brothers 13, a criminal gang also known as B13. The NPS linked him to recent violent robberies that have affected residents of the Munyaka area.
The alleged gang affiliation and connection to the robberies remain police claims. The information released about the arrest did not detail the individual incidents investigators have linked to the suspect.
The arrest forms part of police efforts to disrupt criminal networks involved in violent robberies in Eldoret and surrounding areas. In this case, the operation centred on information that led Kapsoya officers to the Roadblock area.
