Shiksha, Kadusko and Kash Money Steal the Show at Kalasha Awards

The 14th Kalasha International Film and TV Awards delivered a thrilling night. Top productions and creators received major recognition.

Therefore, the May 2, 2026 ceremony celebrated Kenya’s growing film industry. Filmmakers, actors, and digital creators all took center stage.

Top Productions Dominate the Night

Kash Money led the TV drama category. It won Best TV Drama and Best TV Director.

Additionally, John Sibi Okumu secured Best Lead Actor. The show impressed judges with strong storytelling.

Meanwhile, Sukari delivered a powerful performance. The 15-minute film swept six major awards.

It won Best Short Film and Best Director. Omar Hamza earned praise for direction. Therefore, Sukari took home Sh3 million in prize money.

Feature Film Category Winners

Nawi stood out strongly. It won Best Feature Film award.

Additionally, it secured the People’s Choice Award. Audiences widely supported the production.
