Meta Launches “Creator Fast Track” to Win Over TikTok and YouTube Talent

Meta Platforms has unveiled a new initiative dubbed “Creator Fast Track,” in a bold push to attract top content creators from rival platforms such as TikTok and YouTube.

The programme, announced on Wednesday, aims to strengthen the company’s position in the competitive short-form video space by offering guaranteed monthly earnings and enhanced visibility on Facebook Reels.

Financial Incentives to Attract Creators

Meta is banking on financial security to lure influencers who may be hesitant to shift platforms. The initiative introduces a three-month guaranteed income model designed to reduce risk for creators transitioning from other apps.

The payment structure is divided into three tiers:

  • Tier 1: Creators with over one million followers can earn up to $3,000 (approx. KSh 390,000) per month.
  • Tier 2: Those with at least 100,000 followers qualify for $1,000 (about KSh 130,000) monthly.
  • Tier 3: Mid-level creators with 20,000 to 99,999 followers can receive between $100 and $450 (KSh 13,000–58,000).

Boosted Reach and Faster Monetisation

Beyond direct payments, Meta is offering algorithmic support to help creators grow quickly on its platform. Participants will benefit from increased content distribution, ensuring their videos reach wider audiences without the usual slow build-up.

The programme also grants immediate access to Meta’s monetisation tools. This removes the traditional waiting period, allowing creators to start earning from ads almost instantly.

Posting Requirements and Content Rules

To maintain eligibility, creators must post at least 15 Reels within 30 days, spread across a minimum of 10 days.

Meta requires content to be original. However, creators can repurpose videos from other platforms as long as they remove visible watermarks, including those from TikTok.

Strategic Push in Creator Economy

A Meta spokesperson said the initiative is designed to make Facebook a leading destination for digital creators. The company aims to eliminate the financial uncertainty that often comes with switching platforms.

The rollout begins in the United States, Canada, and selected international markets. It follows a strong year for Meta, which reportedly paid nearly $3 billion (about KSh 390 billion) to creators in 2025.

Growing Battle for Creator Loyalty

The launch of Creator Fast Track highlights intensifying competition among major platforms for creator attention and content. As the creator economy expands, companies are increasingly investing in incentives to secure exclusive or priority content.

With this move, Meta signals its intent to directly challenge TikTok and YouTube by offering not just reach, but stability and faster monetisation opportunities for creators.
