Gen Z Hits 1M Voters, Marches in Nairobi CBD

On April 14, 2026, youth activists marched across Nairobi’s CBD. They celebrated one million newly registered voters under the “Tuko Kadi” movement.

Youth mobilizer Allan Ademba leads the “Tuko Kadi” campaign. He works alongside creatives and activists to drive awareness.

Voter Registration Progress and Statistics

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission oversees the exercise. It began the Enhanced Continuous Voter Registration on March 30, 2026.

By early April, over 875,000 new voters had been registered. However, organizers estimate numbers have now surpassed one million.

Additionally, Nairobi leads in registrations. The county has recorded the highest number of new voters.

The exercise will end on April 28, 2026. Therefore, officials urge eligible citizens to register promptly.
