Hampshire police are investigating a knife attack at a house in Chandler’s Ford and appealing for witnesses and camera footage.
A Halloween party attack left five teenagers seriously injured in Chandler’s Ford, Hampshire, on Saturday night. Police have launched an investigation into the knife assault at a house on Park Road, near Eastleigh.
Investigators believe a group of unidentified attackers forced their way inside before assaulting the teenagers. Emergency services received a call shortly after 10.30pm.
The victims, three aged 16 and two aged 17, suffered serious injuries and went to hospital for treatment.
Residents described a large emergency response, including a police helicopter and an air ambulance that landed nearby. One witness also reported seeing a young victim fleeing the house as two attackers chased them.
Police seek footage after Halloween party attack
On Sunday, police cordoned off the property while forensic teams searched for evidence. Officers also questioned neighbours and reviewed security camera footage to help identify those responsible.
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Elizabeth Pirie thanked residents for their patience and help during the investigation. Police are appealing to anyone who was near Park Road on Saturday night to come forward. They also want dashcam or doorbell footage that could help establish what happened.
Meanwhile, Eastleigh MP Liz Jarvis expressed sympathy with the injured teenagers and their families. She said the violence had shocked the normally quiet neighbourhood.
Jarvis also urged people not to spread rumours or unverified information online. Instead, she called on anyone with relevant information to contact police.
