Ema Kalekye featured in a reel set to King Kaka’s song.
The content creator says a song repost and playful online exchange sparked speculation, not a romantic relationship.
Content creator Ema Kalekye has dismissed King Kaka dating claims, saying a song repost sparked the rumours. She said their social media interaction had no romantic meaning.
The speculation began after King Kaka shared a Facebook reel featuring Ema in corporate attire. The accompanying song repeatedly mentions her name and refers to princess treatment.
Fans also picked up on their playful exchange in the comments. King Kaka addressed Ema as his person, while she asked what he was giving her.
Some social media users interpreted the exchange as a subtle announcement of a relationship. Ema later shared the video on Instagram, further fuelling the speculation.
Ema responds to King Kaka dating claims
However, Ema said people had exaggerated the interaction and mistaken a simple repost for something more. She explained that the video related only to King Kaka’s song, rather than a romance.
She also urged social media users to stop assigning hidden meanings to ordinary exchanges. In her response, Ema asked people to remain respectful rather than build stories around every online interaction.
The rumours drew attention because King Kaka and media personality Nana Owiti ended their 13-year relationship in December 2024. In a joint statement, they pledged to raise their three children together with love, stability and respect.
Their separation followed months of public speculation about their marriage. Earlier in 2024, King Kaka had rejected separation reports, but the couple later confirmed their breakup.
