Maureen Tabs received the Female Artist of the Year honour at the 2026 ETA Awards in Machakos.
Gospel singer Maureen Tabitha, popularly known as Maureen Tabs, won Female Artist of the Year at the 2026 ETA Awards held at Samara Hotel in Machakos.
Organisers determined the winner through public voting. After receiving the award, Maureen thanked her family, fans and supporters for standing by her throughout her music journey.
The ceremony attracted musicians, media personalities, digital creators, entrepreneurs and community leaders from across the country.
Organisers also honoured several artistes, public figures and community champions for their contributions in different fields.
Maureen Tabs celebrates music honour
Maureen’s latest achievement comes as she continues promoting her worship song Majira Ya Mungu, which she released in July.
The song’s title translates to “God’s Season” or “God’s Time.” Its message focuses on faith, patience and trust in God’s timing.
Mondy G won Male Artist of the Year. AIC Athi River Choir received the Group of the Year award.
Princess Kendra took home the Talent to Watch award. Paul Lais won Kenya Rising Artist of the Year.
In the deejay categories, Deejay Wardah won Female Deejay of the Year. DJ Jeorges claimed the Male Deejay of the Year title.
Tempire Records received the Audio Producer of the Year award.
Nadia Mukami and Stephen Kasolo recognised
Singer Nadia Mukami received the East Africa Artist of the Year award.
Gospel musician Stephen Kasolo won the Most Influential Kamba Gospel Artist award.
The ceremony also recognised other prominent Kamba gospel artistes.
Stella Mengele received the Kamba Gospel Matriarch Award. Ev. John Kay won the Most Inspiring Kamba Gospel Artist award.
Caroline Muthoka secured the Diaspora Artist of the Year title.
Kaewa Superstars also earned recognition as a New Generation Benga Band from Eastern Kenya.
Media and digital creators among winners
Several media personalities and digital creators also received awards during the event.
Little Mwikali won Influencer of the Year. Trudy Kitui received the Digital Creator of the Year award.
SSTV Kenya secured the Digital Journalist of the Year title.
MC OG won MC of the Year, highlighting his contribution to event hosting and entertainment.
These categories expanded the awards beyond music and recognised excellence in digital media and content creation.
Public service and community leadership honours
Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti received the Most Outstanding Public Service and Community Transformation Award.
Francis Mwangangi earned recognition for Excellence in Devolution Leadership.
Honourable Syombua Kioko won the Community Empowerment Champion Award.
Dr David Ole Sankok received the Disability Inclusion Champion Award for his advocacy and leadership.
The public service categories highlighted individuals making an impact in governance, leadership and community development.
Through the awards, organisers celebrated achievements across entertainment, media, entrepreneurship and public service.
