Kenyan media personality Natalie Githinji

Natalie Githinji will join fellow endometriosis warriors at KICC on 27 September as she turns her personal journey into a wider awareness campaign.

The Kenyan media personality will host the gathering at the KICC Comesa Grounds under her Natalie’s Endometriosis Warriors (N.E.W) initiative.

The event will also mark an important step in Githinji’s advocacy journey.

Organisers plan to unveil her as an ambassador for endometriosis awareness in East Africa.

Meanwhile, the gathering will bring together women living with endometriosis and people seeking to understand the condition.

Attendees will share experiences, access information and connect with others navigating life with endometriosis.

Natalie Githinji Invites Women to KICC

Githinji recently shared the event poster on her social media platforms.

She encouraged her followers and women affected by endometriosis to attend the gathering.

The organisers have advertised the event as free to attend.

Githinji’s invitation comes weeks after she sought hospital treatment following an endometriosis flare-up.

Therefore, the upcoming gathering carries a personal meaning for the media personality.

It also gives her an opportunity to turn her experience into a broader conversation about endometriosis.

Eric Omondi Backs Awareness Campaign

Comedian and activist Eric Omondi has also thrown his support behind the N.E.W initiative.

Omondi promoted the gathering through an Instagram video on 23 August.

He shared the message shortly after visiting Githinji in hospital.

During the video, Omondi invited women living with endometriosis and anyone seeking more information about the condition.

He also highlighted awareness activities and testing planned for the gathering.

As a result, the campaign aims to reach beyond Githinji’s personal experience.

It seeks to create a wider platform where women can share their stories and access useful information.

Githinji Continues Her Recovery

Githinji sought hospital treatment in August after an endometriosis flare-up.

Her friend Laura Mbatha confirmed the admission at the time and said Githinji received treatment for severe pain.

Since then, Githinji has continued sharing updates about her recovery.

She has also discussed the realities of living with endometriosis and undergoing further medical investigations.

Her recovery has included an MRI scan as she continues managing the condition.

On 21 September, Githinji encouraged fellow endometriosis warriors to give themselves time during recovery.

She also reminded her followers that every person’s healing journey can look different.

That message comes as she prepares to return to a public awareness platform.

A Bigger Conversation on Endometriosis

Endometriosis can cause chronic pain and affect a person’s quality of life.

For many women, the condition can also bring challenges that extend beyond physical symptoms.

The N.E.W gathering aims to increase awareness while creating space for affected women to connect.

It will also give attendees an opportunity to learn more about the condition.

For Githinji, the event comes at a significant point in her own recovery journey.

She will now join fellow warriors in turning personal experiences into a wider awareness conversation.

The 27 September gathering will combine education, connection and advocacy around endometriosis.
