EPRA Confirms Fuel Prices to Remain Unchanged Until January 14

Fuel Prices Hold Steady for Third Month
On December 15, EPRA announced fuel prices will remain unchanged until January 14, 2026. Super Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene will retail at Ksh184.52, Ksh171.47, and Ksh154.78 in Nairobi.

Prices Inclusive of Taxes and Duties
The regulator confirmed prices include 16% VAT and excise duty adjustments. Moreover, the figures comply with the Finance Act 2023 and Tax Laws Amendment Act 2024.

Regional Price Variations Reported
In Mombasa, petrol will retail at Ksh181.24, diesel at Ksh161.19, and kerosene at Ksh151.49. Additionally, Nakuru prices stand at Ksh183.56 for petrol, Ksh170.87 for diesel, and Ksh154.21 for kerosene.

Import Costs Influence Price Stability
EPRA noted Super Petrol’s landing cost dropped by 4.25% between October and November. However, diesel and kerosene recorded increases in landing costs during the same period.

Although prices remain high, stability offers relief during the busy festive transport period. Consequently, commuters and businesses can plan without sudden fuel cost changes.
