Kenyan content creator Georgina Njenga is expected to leave Chiromo Hospital Group after 40 days of mental-health treatment. Comedian Eric Omondi shared the update on November 6, 2026, saying she could leave on Monday or Tuesday.

Her return home would come earlier than the initially planned 90-day recovery programme. Omondi said she was ready to go home after receiving inpatient care at the hospital in Lavington, Nairobi.

Njenga entered treatment after social-media posts raised concerns among her followers about her wellbeing. Omondi worked with her mother, Alice Waruiru, to locate her and arrange professional inpatient care.

However, she found the early weeks of her stay difficult. On day 15, Njenga described her experience as distressing and said she wanted to return home. She also felt that three months was a long time to spend in treatment.

During that period, she spoke about facing what she described as spiritual battles. By the 40-day mark, however, she appeared more cheerful in a video Omondi shared. She smiled and thanked him after he complimented her appearance.

Hospital support eased treatment costs

Chiromo Hospital Group reportedly waived the full cost of Njenga’s treatment following intervention from its leadership. Those involved included CEO Dr Hongo and Professor Frank Njenga. As a result, her family did not have to cover the cost of her inpatient care.

Omondi’s Sisi Kwa Sisi initiative also helped mobilise public support and resources for her admission and treatment. Alongside those efforts, the comedian asked Kenyans to give Njenga privacy, prayers and patience during her recovery.

He also limited visits to her mother and daughter, saying she needed space to focus on getting better. The arrangements aimed to give the digital creator time with close family while she received professional care.
