Heha Movers celebrated a surprise land gift and home-building support in Malindi.
The Nairobi comedy group celebrated the surprise gift, organised by manager Nicki Bigfish and Hyssop Properties CEO Naff Mwangi.
Nairobi comedy group Heha Movers has received a quarter-acre plot in Malindi, alongside support to build a house. The surprise gift brought members to tears during a company event in the coastal town.
The group’s manager, content creator Nicki Bigfish, reportedly organised the surprise with Hyssop Properties CEO Naff Mwangi. Videos shared online showed members, including the group’s human resource manager, crying with joy after the announcement.
Heha Movers celebrate Malindi land gift
The plot reportedly lies along the Salagate Bypass in Malindi and carries an estimated value of Sh299,000. Besides receiving the land, the team viewed a house design and received funding support for their future home.
They have nicknamed the planned home The Heha Mansion. The gift therefore includes both a plot and assistance towards the group’s building plans.
Nicki Bigfish said the gesture recognised the young creatives’ hard work. He also described it as a way to uplift them after online stereotyping over their Kibera background.
From Kibera sketches to viral comedy
The group began as a comedy idea among young people from Kibera, Nairobi. Before finding wider fame, many members belonged to Kibra Laugh Industry, a local group producing online comedy.
Initially, they experimented with different sketches, including jokes about web design and digital marketing companies. They later developed their moving-company concept, dressing in oversized suits and playing the roles of serious executives.
Their comedy combines formal corporate language with Nairobi street humour. At the centre is their self-styled CEO, Mr. Wahio, who leads the team’s exaggerated service pitches.
Although the concept centres on moving, their comic promises extend well beyond transporting household belongings. In their sketches, they also offer to mount televisions, repair cars and even cook for clients.
Online reach brings brand opportunities
The clips spread across TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, drawing millions of views. That popularity also opened commercial opportunities for the young performers.
The group went on to secure brand deals with companies including Hass Petroleum and Al Siddique Motors. Now, the Malindi gift adds land and home-building support to the opportunities that have followed their comedy success.
