Edwin Sifuna will lead the Linda Mwananchi tour to Kwale on October 31, with a main rally at Ukunda Showground. The gathering will start at 3pm, following a political caravan through several towns.
The planned route includes Samburu Town, Kinango Town, Kombani Junction and Lunga Lunga before concluding in Ukunda. Meanwhile, the movement has invited supporters to attend the main gathering.
The Coast visit comes a day after the party unveiled its new identity and secretariat. That launch, on Friday, October 30, marked another step in its preparations for the next election.
Linda Mwananchi tour builds political reach
The Kwale visit forms part of the movement’s wider strategy to reach Kenyans directly through public rallies. Sifuna, its party leader, is also using the platform to promote his agenda beyond his traditional support base.
His growing national outreach comes as he positions himself as a potential presidential contender ahead of the 2027 election. However, opposition leaders have yet to agree on one candidate to challenge President William Ruto.
The opposition also faces the task of balancing individual presidential ambitions with calls for a united front. Against that backdrop, Sifuna’s movement is seeking to establish itself as a political force through party organisation and voter mobilisation.
