Businessman Mandeep Singh Channa was charged on Friday, September 25, 2026, with making and uttering false documents in connection with alleged company document forgery.
Channa appeared before a Kenyan court and pleaded not guilty to the charges. He was subsequently released on a KSh300,000 cash bail as the case proceeds.
Channa Faces Forgery Charges
According to the prosecution, Channa allegedly acted together with other individuals who were not before the court. He is accused of creating a false affidavit dated October 19, 2022.
The document allegedly purported to be a genuine affidavit sworn by Supinderpaul Singh before a Commissioner for Oaths.
Prosecutors allege that the document was knowingly presented as genuine despite being false.

Alleged 4,000-Share Transfer
The disputed documents are linked to Channa Investments Limited. The prosecution alleges they were used to facilitate the unauthorised resignation of a company director.
They were also allegedly intended to facilitate the transfer of 4,000 shares within the company. The prosecution’s allegations will have to be tested through the court process.
Channa Pleads Not Guilty
During his arraignment on September 25, 2026, Channa denied the allegations. Court granted him KSh300,000 cash bail, allowing him to remain out of custody as the case continues.
The charges include making a false document and uttering the alleged false affidavit. Channa remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty by a court of law.
