Security arrangements for KPSEA and KJSEA assessments

Police are guarding examination containers and escorting materials for KPSEA and KJSEA as candidates continue assessments amid heavy rains.

The National Police Service (NPS) has deployed officers nationwide to provide assessment security for KPSEA and KJSEA candidates. The examinations entered their second day amid heavy rains in several parts of the country.

In a statement on Tuesday, the service said officers were maintaining security operations despite the challenging weather. Their work aims to prevent interruptions and protect the integrity of the assessments.

Assessment security covers storage and transport

Officers are guarding examination containers around the clock throughout the exercise. They are also overseeing the safe movement of examination materials to and from assessment centres.

The operations cover the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment and the Kenya Junior Secondary Education Assessment. Despite the rains, the NPS said its officers would continue working to help learners complete their assessments without interruption.

Meanwhile, the service is coordinating with National Government Administration Officers, the Ministry of Education and school heads. This joint effort aims to support smooth administration and safe handling of materials throughout the examination period.

Police urge public to report suspicious activity

The NPS also asked members of the public to cooperate with officers during the assessments. It urged anyone with information about suspicious activity that could compromise the exercise to report it.

Members of the public can contact education officials, school heads or the nearest police station. Alternatively, they can use the following emergency and investigation contacts:

  • Emergency services: toll-free numbers 999 or 911.
  • Directorate of Criminal Investigations: 0800 722 203.
  • DCI WhatsApp: 0709 570 000.

The service also wished all KPSEA and KJSEA candidates success in their assessments. It reaffirmed its commitment to a safe and orderly examination period across the country.
