Kenyan musician Kevin Bahati has announced a KSh 1 million offer for one artist to perform at his wedding to Diana Marua. The highly anticipated ceremony is scheduled for Friday, November 6, 2026.
Bahati shared the offer on social media, inviting fans to choose the musician they want to see perform at the private celebration.
“I have 1 million KSh to pay 1 musician to perform at The Bahati’s Big Day,” he wrote.
He added that the artist receiving the most recommendations from fans would get the performance opportunity.
Fans Suggest Musicians for Bahati’s Wedding
The announcement sparked lively reactions across social media, with fans naming their preferred performers. Some of the artists mentioned include Stivo Simple Boy, Bien-Aimé Baraza, Embarambamba and Nyashinski.
Supporters campaigned for their favourite musicians, hoping their recommendations would influence Bahati’s decision. However, other users questioned whether the offer was genuine or a publicity stunt. The debate added another talking point to the couple’s highly publicised wedding preparations.
Wedding Media Restrictions Raise Questions
The KSh 1 million performance offer has also drawn attention because of the couple’s planned media restrictions. Bahati and Diana previously announced a strict ban on media coverage and livestreaming during the private ceremony.
The wedding is expected to host only 100 invited guests. Reports have also indicated that access will be tightly controlled. The restrictions have prompted questions about whether fans will get to see the selected musician’s performance.
Bahatis Prepare for Decade Celebration
The wedding marks a major milestone in Bahati and Diana’s relationship, which began a decade ago. Their planned celebration has attracted considerable public interest, particularly following reports about exclusive invitations and limited attendance.
Bahati’s latest announcement has now shifted attention to the entertainment lineup. It remains unclear which musician will receive the KSh 1 million offer. The final choice will depend on the artist Bahati selects following the public suggestions.
