Kenyan singer-songwriter Bensoul has released his third studio album, Flight 420, under his independent label, Sudah Nation.

The 13-track project arrived on Friday, October 30, 2026, following an exclusive listening session in Nairobi on October 27. It blends reggae-inspired sounds with Bensoul’s signature Afrosoul and Afropop influences.

The album explores life, joy and passion through personal experiences, relationships and creative growth. Bensoul says he wanted to capture everyday feelings rather than chase trends or focus solely on commercial hits.

Flight 420 brings together Kenyan musicians and regional collaborators across 13 tracks. The featured artists include Scar Mkadinali, Hornsphere, Watendawili, Spyro, Kasiva Mutua, Ywaya Tajiri, Savara and Coster Ojwang.

Standout Collaborations

One of the album’s notable collaborations is “NYR,” featuring Scar Mkadinali, which brings a Kenyan hip-hop voice into Bensoul’s wider musical mix.

Meanwhile, “Mariwana,” featuring Ywaya Tajiri, builds on the pair’s established creative partnership. The song was released ahead of the album and blends English and Swahili with acoustic guitar and reggae-influenced production.

Another key collaboration is “Tears of Joy,” featuring Savara and Coster Ojwang. The track brings together artists known for their work across Kenya’s contemporary music scene.

Bensoul’s Independent Journey

Flight 420 also marks another chapter in Bensoul’s journey as an independent artist. After working with H_art the Band and signing to Sol Generation Records, he established his own creative direction through Sudah Nation.

His previous projects include The Lion of Sudah (2023) and The Party & The After Party (2024). With the new album, he continues exploring different sounds while drawing from his personal experiences.

Where to Listen

Fans can find Flight 420 on major music streaming platforms, including Apple Music. The album’s release listing credits Bensoul and Bien and confirms its 13-track format.
