Machakos County politician Annabel Ndilo, popularly known as Simba Toto, is renewing her bid for the Woman Representative seat ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Ndilo, a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) nominated MCA, accompanied President William Ruto during his recent development tour of the Ukambani region.

Her appearance alongside the President has drawn attention to her political ambitions and support for the administration’s development agenda.

Ndilo Backs Ruto’s Development Agenda

President Ruto conducted a four-day tour of Machakos, Makueni and Kitui counties from October 24 to 27, 2026. The tour featured government projects involving roads, water supply, electricity connectivity, housing and education.

It also included the launch and inspection of infrastructure projects across the region. Ndilo has publicly expressed support for Ruto’s development agenda.

Her association with the ruling party could feature prominently in her campaign as she seeks to expand her political profile across Machakos County. However, her eventual campaign prospects will depend on the wider political contest and voters’ priorities.

Simba Toto Targets Machakos Woman Rep Seat

Ndilo is seeking to represent women and residents of Machakos County in the National Assembly after the 2027 elections.

The county-wide contest is expected to attract political interest as candidates position themselves ahead of the polls.

Her current role as a nominated MCA gives her experience in county-level politics. She will nevertheless need to communicate her priorities and plans to voters across the county.

Her reported efforts to strengthen grassroots connections are part of the political activity emerging ahead of the election.

Ukambani Tour Draws Political Attention

Ruto’s development tour placed local leaders alongside the administration during visits to projects and public engagements.

The President’s itinerary included road initiatives, electricity connectivity programmes and water projects intended to improve public services across the region. For Ndilo, the tour provided a public platform as she renews her political ambitions.

As the 2027 General Election approaches, voters will be watching candidates’ policy proposals, public engagements and records of service. Ndilo’s campaign for the Machakos Woman Representative seat will unfold within that wider political contest.
