Detectives are investigating the death of a 19-year-old following an alleged assault in Eastleigh.

Detectives have secured 21 days to complete investigations into the death of a 19-year-old man following an alleged assault in Eastleigh, Nairobi.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is examining the circumstances surrounding the death of the teenager, identified only as Zakaria.
Police arrested a woman identified as Ifrah shortly after the incident.
She remains a key person in the investigation, although detectives have not publicly outlined her exact alleged role.
In court documents, investigators said they still need time to review CCTV footage, locate the suspected weapon and obtain the official post-mortem report.
Confrontation on 11th Street
Police records indicate that the incident occurred on the evening of September 15 along 11th Street near Sultan Tower in Eastleigh.
According to investigators, Zakaria became involved in an argument with another man who remains at large.
During the confrontation, someone allegedly struck the teenager with a blunt object.
Zakaria collapsed shortly afterwards.
Good Samaritans rushed him to Nairobi East Hospital.
Medical staff pronounced him dead on arrival.
Police later recovered his body from the back seat of a Toyota Succeed.
Officers then transferred the body to City Mortuary for further examination.
Investigators believe the fatal injuries resulted from the street confrontation.
However, they are still waiting for the official post-mortem findings.
Police set out grounds for detention
Detectives linked Ifrah to the ongoing investigation and asked the court to keep her in custody.
However, court documents did not specify how she allegedly participated in the confrontation.
Police argued that Ifrah could flee if released.
They claimed she does not have a fixed place of residence.
Investigators also expressed concern that she could interfere with witnesses or tamper with evidence.
Those arguments formed the basis of the detention request.
The allegations against Ifrah remain under investigation, and the court has not determined her involvement in the case.
CCTV review and search for suspects
Detectives are continuing to analyse CCTV footage from the area where the incident occurred.
They hope the recordings will help establish the sequence of events leading to Zakaria’s death.
Investigators are also searching for the blunt object allegedly used during the confrontation.
The man who reportedly argued with Zakaria has not been arrested.
Police are also pursuing other individuals they believe may have information about the incident.
