EACC is pursuing a KSh111.5 million recovery case involving Mbeti North MCA Peter Muriithi Nyaga.
EACC secures orders blocking dealings in land and six vehicles linked to Mbeti North MCA Peter Muriithi Nyaga.
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has secured orders freezing Embu MCA assets in a KSh111.5 million recovery case. The orders cover a parcel of land and six vehicles linked to Mbeti North representative Peter Muriithi Nyaga.
EACC alleges that Nyaga acquired the money through irregular transactions with the Embu county government. The restrictions will remain in place pending the hearing and determination of the recovery suit.
Justice Biomdo issued the ruling on October 29, 2026, barring Nyaga from selling, transferring or otherwise dealing with the assets. The judge also directed the Land Registrar and the National Transport and Safety Authority to register restrictions. These prevent transfers, leasing or use of the assets as security.
Embu MCA assets linked to company transactions
EACC filed the recovery suit on August 28, 2026, against Nyaga and six companies associated with him. They are Truco Enterprises Ltd, Peanco Ltd, Njewaco Ltd, Hasoco Ltd, Hiwco Ltd and Isaac & Timothy Company Ltd.
The commission alleges that Nyaga traded with the county through companies in which he held interests, creating a conflict of interest. It identified the first five companies as participants in the disputed transactions.
EACC further alleges that part of the money financed the purchase of land parcel Mbeti/Kiamuringa/49 and six vehicles. Isaac & Timothy Company Ltd holds the land registration.
The court restrictions therefore preserve the identified assets while EACC pursues its claim to recover the alleged proceeds.
