The deaths left one family grieving four children at once. The tragedy also deeply affected residents who gathered to support the family during the burial.

Fire Broke Out While Parents Attended Church

Reports indicate that the fire started at around 1:15 pm while the children’s parents were attending a church service. Neighbours reportedly noticed smoke and alerted the family. However, the children could not be rescued before the fire consumed the house.

Firefighters from Nyahururu responded and contained the blaze, but the four siblings died. According to preliminary reports, investigators found that the house had been locked from the outside. Authorities are examining the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police Investigate Circumstances of Tragedy

Police investigations are expected to establish what caused the fire and why the house was reportedly locked. Media reports have indicated that the parents were persons of interest as investigators sought to establish the sequence of events.

However, that status does not establish responsibility for the children’s deaths. The findings of the investigation will be important in determining what happened.

Ndaragwa Community Mourns the Siblings

The burial brought together a grieving community to honour the four children and stand with their family. Residents continue to grapple with the loss, while the circumstances surrounding the fire have raised questions about child safety and emergency response.

As the family begins to cope with the tragedy, the investigation remains crucial to establishing the facts and answering questions surrounding the deaths.
