Search efforts continue for a person missing after a flooded river crossing in Kajiado South.
Search teams are looking for a missing person in Kajiado South as the Kenya Red Cross warns residents against crossing flooded rivers.
Search teams are looking for one person following a Kajiado flooding incident on the night of October 30. The Kenya Red Cross said floodwaters reportedly swept the person away while they attempted to cross an overflowing river.
The incident occurred at Baraka in Olkaria Village, Kajiado South. In an October 31 update on X, the humanitarian organisation said search and rescue efforts were continuing.
Meanwhile, heavy rains have raised concerns about flooding in parts of the country. The Kenya Red Cross urged residents to take care and avoid crossing flooded rivers and roads because of the dangers from swollen waterways.
The organisation also advised anyone facing an emergency to call its toll-free number, 1199.
