The Presidential Escort Unit Band led the Nairobi thanksgiving procession from Jevanjee Gardens to Holy Family Basilica. Members of the uniformed disciplined services joined the march for their annual National Joint Prayers and Thanksgiving Service.
The band set the pace as participants made their way through the city towards the basilica. The procession formed part of this year’s Uniformed Disciplined Services Thanksgiving, a key end-of-year event in the services’ calendar.
Meanwhile, Inspector General of the National Police Service Douglas Kanja arrived at Holy Family Basilica ahead of the service. The annual gathering brings uniformed personnel together for prayers and thanksgiving.
The Kenya Police Service also shared images of the procession and Kanja’s arrival on Saturday, as preparations for the gathering got underway.
