Nairobi Water plans maintenance on the Kabete distribution mains during the 24-hour interruption.
Nairobi Water will suspend supply from November 9 to connect new pipes near Kianda School, affecting homes, businesses and hospitals.
A planned Nairobi water shutdown will interrupt supplies to homes and businesses for 24 hours from Monday, November 9. Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company will begin the work at 8 am and finish at 8 am on Tuesday, November 10.
The utility will carry out maintenance on the Kabete distribution mains. As part of the work, crews will install new pipe connections near Kianda School, off Waiyaki Way.
Nairobi Water said the connections aim to improve supply reliability. Meanwhile, it urged customers to conserve available water ahead of the interruption and use it sparingly during the shutdown.

The interruption will affect Westlands, Riverside, Parklands, Kilimani, Kileleshwa, Lavington and Upper Hill. Lower Hill and Madaraka will also lose supply during the scheduled work.
Affected health facilities include Kenyatta National Hospital, Nairobi Hospital, Forces Memorial Hospital and Mbagathi Hospital. The notice also lists KEMRI flats, the Department of Defence and Uhuru Park.
