President William Ruto’s designer blazer drew attention at his daughter Charlene Ruto’s wedding in Tanzania. The red-and-black Stefano Ricci jacket features intricate patterns inspired by Egyptian hieroglyphics.
Ruto paired the statement piece with dark trousers, a white shirt and a bow tie. He also wore a cream fedora hat to complete the outfit.
The jacket carries an estimated price of Sh650,000 to Sh1.3 million. It reportedly belongs to the Italian luxury fashion house’s 50th Anniversary collection, a limited-edition line inspired by ancient Egyptian heritage.
Stefano Ricci unveiled that collection during a runway presentation at the Temple of Hatshepsut in Luxor, Egypt.

Meanwhile, Nairobi menswear retailer Zannetti Gents has invited customers to enquire about ordering jackets similar to the president’s. In a post on its official Instagram account, the business advertised starting prices of Sh900,000.
However, the retailer said the price depends on size and availability. Its invitation targeted customers seeking distinctive luxury menswear through exclusive direct orders.
Acquiring a similar jacket therefore involves more than selecting an item from a shop rack. Zannetti Gents sources and imports the pieces against customer orders, with availability depending on the requested design and size.
