Rooney Slams Salah Over Explosive Liverpool Outburst

Wayne Rooney has blasted Mohamed Salah for the forward’s fiery outburst after Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Leeds. The former Manchester United striker said Salah is “throwing away his legacy” with his behaviour.

Salah Unleashes After Another Full Match on the Bench

Liverpool twice surrendered the lead at Elland Road as their poor run continued.
Salah stayed on the bench for the entire match for the second week in a row.

After the game, he walked into the mixed zone and delivered a stunning attack on the club. He claimed Liverpool had “thrown him under the bus”. He also said his relationship with manager Arne Slot had broken down and hinted that “someone didn’t want him at the club.”

His comments raised immediate doubts about his future, especially with AFCON kicking off next week.

Rooney: ‘He Has Gone About It All Wrong’

On The Wayne Rooney Show, the United legend criticised Salah’s approach.

“He is destroying his legacy at Liverpool,” Rooney said.

He argued that Salah disrespected his teammates, the manager, and the fans. Rooney warned that the forward’s comments could create negativity in a dressing room full of new players.

Liverpool Expected Frustration, Not an Explosion

Reports say the club knew Salah felt unhappy after three straight games on the bench. However, they did not expect him to go this far.
Slot still enjoys full backing from Fenway Sports Group.

Uncertain Future as AFCON Nears

Clubs from the Saudi Pro League and MLS continue to track Salah. It remains unclear if he wants a move.

The immediate question is whether he will join Liverpool’s squad for the trip to Milan. The club faces Inter on Tuesday before hosting Brighton this Saturday, which will be Salah’s final chance to play before leaving for AFCON.

Rooney Urges Slot to Act Firmly

Rooney told Slot to enforce discipline:

“Slot has to show authority. Tell him he’s not travelling. Tell him to go to AFCON and let things cool down.”

He said he would not include Salah in the squad after such comments.

What Liverpool Must Solve Now

Liverpool now face a simple task: repair the relationship or prepare for life without Salah.
