Former Chief Justice David Maraga has asked Kenyans to fund his 2027 presidential campaign through public contributions. Consequently, he aims to ensure transparency, promote accountability, and foster citizen ownership of leadership. As of March 2026, ordinary Kenyans have contributed about KSh 7.8 million, supporting his nationwide “Ukatiba Caravan” initiative.
