Ngina honours Uhuru at 65 with childhood memories
Ngina recalled riding on her father’s shoulders and the laughter he brought into their home. She also remembered how he waited up for her, even when he felt tired.
Beyond those moments, she credited him with showing her how patience and gentleness could accompany strength. Through his actions, she said, he taught her what love and a good man looked like.
Although she has grown up, Ngina said she would always remain her father’s little girl. She also called him her king, underscoring the affection at the centre of her message.
Her birthday wishes included a prayer for his continued health and happiness. In addition, she asked God to reward him for sacrifices he never discussed and tears he concealed so his family could smile.
To close the tribute, Ngina said words could not fully express her love for her father. She then wished him a happy birthday.
Political allies add their birthday wishes
Meanwhile, political allies joined the birthday celebrations with messages recognising the former president’s life and public service.
The Office of the Fourth President of the Republic of Kenya honoured his years of service. It also praised his continuing contribution to Kenya and the African continent.
Jubilee Party leader Fred Matiang’i wished Uhuru good health, happiness and more fulfilling years ahead. Kirinyaga Woman Representative Njeri Maina also invited Kenyans to celebrate him and prayed for God’s blessings and protection.
Uhuru served as Kenya’s fourth president from 2013 to 2022. He handed over power to President William Ruto following the 2022 General Election.
