Zuchu’s metallic-blue Bentley is her birthday-month gift to herself.
The Tanzanian singer says music earnings and fans’ support helped her buy her dream car as a birthday-month gift.
Tanzanian singer Zuchu has bought a Bentley Continental GT V8 Azure as a birthday-month gift to herself. The luxury car carries an estimated value of Sh33 million, depending on specifications, import duties and taxes.
She shared a social media video showing the metallic-blue vehicle arriving at her mansion. In her accompanying message, she credited her music earnings and fans’ support for making the purchase possible.
Zuchu also pushed back against speculation that her partner, Diamond Platnumz, had bought her the car.
A personalised Bentley Continental
The singer described the new addition to her collection as her first baby and her dream car. She also expressed gratitude to God, saying her music career had enabled her to buy it.
Her third-generation grand tourer features a diamond-mesh grille, round LED headlights and a metallic-blue exterior. Meanwhile, 21-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels reveal red brake calipers, adding another distinctive detail to the vehicle.
A personalised yellow Tanzanian number plate bears her stage name, ZUCHU. Inside, cream diamond-quilted leather seats contrast with red accents, while a wood-grain dashboard and illuminated Bentley door sills complete the cabin.
The two-door model seats four people and combines sports-car performance with the comfort of a luxury saloon.
V8 power and luxury cabin technology
The car’s 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine produces about 550 horsepower. As a result, it can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometres per hour in approximately four seconds.
An eight-speed automatic transmission handles power delivery, while all-wheel drive helps maintain traction on the road. Air suspension also adjusts to road conditions to improve ride comfort.
Beyond its leather upholstery and finished wood surfaces, the cabin offers adjustable seats. Its technology includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, smartphone connectivity and a digital instrument display.
Some versions of the model also offer a rotating dashboard display. This switches between the touchscreen, traditional analogue dials and a wood-finished panel.
