The real-life couple will explore love, expectations and communication in a one-off stage production on November 24, 2026.

Kenyan content creators Boera Bisieri and Andrew Smollo will stage What Wo-MEN Want at the Kenya National Theatre on November 24, 2026. The production takes their relationship storytelling from social media to a live audience.

Benson Ojuwa, also known as Benson Tekee, directs the play, which Saumu Kombo wrote. Only one performance is scheduled, giving followers a single opportunity to watch the production live.

The real-life couple are known for comic portrayals of marriage and dating, often built around everyday misunderstandings. Now, they are bringing those themes to theatre through their company, Andymaxe Entertainment.

What Wo-MEN Want explores relationship expectations

Rather than simply dramatising Boera and Smollo’s marriage, the play examines broader dynamics between men and women. It explores love, communication and the expectations that partners bring into relationships.

Women question men’s behaviour, while men try to understand what women expect from them. Between those perspectives, the story considers how assumptions and frustrations can exist alongside affection.

Humour remains central to the production, but emotional storytelling also gives audiences room to reflect on their relationships. The play targets couples, singles and groups of friends, rather than married audiences alone.

Boera has described the show as a mix of laughter, drama and recognisable relationship moments. Meanwhile, the couple say the move allows them to continue conversations they have already explored online.

From digital skits to live performance

Boera and Smollo attracted significant attention in 2025 as their online following grew. Their skits feature suspicious partners, awkward exchanges and ordinary conversations that become interrogations.

However, their interest in performance extends beyond digital content. Both share a passion for theatre, and Andymaxe Entertainment combines their live performance experience with online storytelling.

Their work has also earned cultural recognition. On October 18, 2026, Busia Governor Paul Otuoma presented them with their first award at the Edokho Ria Basamia cultural event.

The award recognised their use of digital media to promote the Samia community and its culture. Alongside that work, the upcoming production offers another way to connect with supporters.

For their online followers, the theatre show creates an opportunity to experience the couple’s storytelling in person. Further performance details are available through Boera and Smollo’s social media pages.
