The Jubilee Party has mourned Margaret Kawuki, its nominated Taita Taveta Member of the County Assembly. It described her death as a loss to the county and Kenya’s democratic movement.
In a condolence message, Jubilee Secretary General Moitalel ole Kenta paid tribute to her dedication to public service. He also highlighted her commitment to democracy, equality and women’s rights.

Kenta said Kawuki worked with purpose to represent the aspirations of Taita Taveta residents and improve their lives. He also remembered her as a courageous advocate for marginalised groups.
Even during difficult moments, he said, Kawuki maintained dignity, compassion and a reasoned approach. Her contribution to Taita Taveta and the democratic principles Jubilee champions would remain part of her legacy, he added.
Kenta said the loss extended beyond Kawuki’s family and colleagues to the Jubilee fraternity and the wider democratic movement. His tribute recognised both her county service and her contribution to the party’s ideals.
He extended Jubilee’s condolences to her family, friends, colleagues, supporters and the people of Taita Taveta. He also urged those mourning Kawuki to find strength in her legacy of public service.
